Noelle Kimble McEntee and Donny Flynn

The Team Behind Mortal Support

Donny Flynn and Noelle Kimble McEntee are the hosts of Mortal Support.

They’re also the co-founders of Blaze, a free navigation platform designed to help families make sense of caregiving.

Noelle came to this work through legacy and estate-planning technology, while Donny was drawn to end-of-life care during his grandfather’s experience with pancreatic cancer.

While building Blaze, they heard from caregiving and end-of-life professionals, as well as people who had gone through these experiences themselves. With technology advancing, all baby boomers reaching age 65 or older by 2030, and more people living into older age, Noelle and Donny believe it is vital to create spaces for honest conversation and share resources that can improve the quality of our lives, not just their length.

Inside Mortal Support

Every episode explores the work, the system, and the tools through honest stories, a few laughs, and practical takeaways.

  • The Work

Adult caregiving often becomes a job you never interviewed for. Unlike childcare, it starts small and grows over time. Like childcare, it still falls disproportionately on women.

  • The System

We unpack the systems families face, from hospital discharge and hospice to benefits, to Medicaid and Medicare all the way over to family dynamics, and estate settlement.

  • The Tools

We give caregivers practical tools, trusted resources, and expert guidance from leaders in CareTech and DeathTech to navigate the work, share the load, and prepare before a crisis.
